GSC
believes that the best approach to motivating an
injured worker is to offer him/her a great job
opportunity that provides good wages, benefits, growth
potential and physically appropriate job duties.
GSC accomplishes these highly successful
return-to-work
outcomes by utilizing the following strategies:
Modified Work Assignment (MWA) Development:
GSC utilizes sophisticated and proprietary task
analysis systems to create return-to-work pathways
and develop worthwhile temporary or permanent
Modified Work Assignments (MWA) to maintain employee
productivity, combat physical/ motivational
de-conditioning and promote continued good worker
habits.
Employer-Based Marketing:
GSC's placement success has primarily resulted
from developing broad-based employer networks within
both rural and metropolitan areas. This employer
based marketing effort has resulted in the creation of
a diverse job bank composed of employers willing to
hire and accommodate individuals with work related
injuries. Because GSC does not have to start
from scratch to develop new employer leads with each
new job placement referral, the costs associated with
job exploration are reduced significantly while
maximizing return-to-work outcomes.
On-The-Job Training Development:
GSC is highly specialized in developing both
simple and complex On-the-Job Training (OJT) program
opportunities that provide our clients increased
access to otherwise unavailable employment
options. OJT programs also enable employers to
evaluate individuals prior to making a permanent
hiring decision and provide GSC and other vocational
rehabilitation professionals' access to the employer
in order to mediate employer/employee disputes and
develop reasonable accommodations when considering a
client's work restrictions. OJT opportunities
work especially well for clients in need of
structured, short-term hands-on training in a
different occupation.
